Despicable Me sequel planned for 2013
Great news guys! Screenwriters Chinco Paul and Ken Daurio are working on a script for Despicable Me 2. Yes, the very funny 3D production of 2010, animated by the French Mac Guff studio will get a sequel! Check out the great teaser posters above and beneath which were just released !
In the first movie, Super villain Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) became the Worlds second best thief, when his arch-enemy stole the Great Pyramid of Giza. Gru came up with a plan to maintain his reputation by stealing... the Moon! Aided by an army of thousands of little minions, who live in his basement and his partner in crime Dr. Nefario (Russell Brand), he needed to adopt three little girls from an orphanage to fulfill his master plan. Gru discovered that hes not such a bad guy after all. In the sequel a new opponent will arise, El Macho voiced by Spanish actor Javier Bardem. Animator Pierre Coffin will again direct the movie with storyboard artist Chris Renaud (nominated in 2006 with an Academy award for writing/directing the animated short No time for Nuts (starring the ultimately funny Scratch from Ice Age.)
The movie will be out in July 2013, so well have to wait a little while, but heres something to get in the mood: a VERY FUNNY trailer of the first movie (theres no trailer for the sequel yet), followed by the short Banana. Check that out guys, this stuff is what its all about !! Hahaha!
